The easiest way to get from Batu Caves to Bukit Bintang (Pavilion) by train is to take the KTM Komuter (commuter) service from the Batu Caves railway station to the old Kuala Lumpur railway station, then you can take a short walk via a pedestrian bridge to the Pasar Seni MRT station and catch a direct train to Bukit Bintang MRT station.

Many people will tell you to first take the train from Batu Caves to KL Sentral station then walk to the Muzium Negara MRT station from there, but they may not know there is a relatively new (opened in November 2019) link bridge between Kuala Lumpur station and Pasar Seni which makes the journey shorter, cheaper, quicker and involves less walking between stations (the new bridge to Pasar Seni is only 102 metres long and has a travelator and is cooled by fans).
Going via Pasar Seni, the duration of the train journey to Bukit Bintang MRT station from Batu Caves is approximately 40 to 50 minutes in total.
The KTM train from Batu Caves to Kuala Lumpur station takes 25 minutes.
The walk to Pasar Seni MRT station takes less than 5 minutes.
Wait for the next MRT train on the SBK MRT Line heading in the direction of Kajang (between 0 and 8 minutes during the day).
The MRT train from Pasar Seni to Bukit Bintang takes just 5 minutes (2nd stop).

On the train journey to Bukit Bintang from Batu Caves, you will be using two different train services operated by two different companies.
The MRT train from Pasar Seni to Bukit Bintang trains are very frequent, departing between every 4 to 8 minutes during the daytime so you don't really need to see the schedule for these services as you will never have to wait too long for the next MRT train.
The KTM Komuter trains on the Batu Caves to Kuala Lumpur sector are far less frequent so you should take a look at the train timetable to plan your trip.

The KTM fare from Batu Caves to Kuala Lumpur is 2.50 RM / MYR.
The Rapid KL MRT fares from Pasar Seni to Bukit Bintang is 1.40 RM / MYR.
