The quickest and best way to get from Ipoh to Tasek Gelugor in North Seberang Perai in the State of Penang, Malaysia is to take one of the KTM Berhad fast Electric Train Services (ETS).

Located along the South - North West Coast Railway Line, Tasek Gelugor is served by ETS Gold and ETS Platinum Trains.

The duration of the train journey from Ipoh to Tasek Gelugor is approximately one hour and 40 minutes.

****Please note: It is also now also possible to get to Tasek Gelugor from Ipoh using the much cheaper KTM Komuter (commuter) train service as the northern commuter (Komuter Utara) route has been extended to Ipoh.

You will have to take two Komuter trains:

First take the Komuter train from Ipoh to Bukit Mertajam.

Then take the short trip from Bukit Mertajam to Tasek Gelugor.
