If you want to travel from Melaka to Penang by train, you can take the fast KTM ETS Tampin to Butterworth (Penang Sentral) Electric Train Service, or you can take a KTM Komuter train from Tampin to KL Sentral Railway Station in Kuala Lumpur, then connect to a far more frequent ETS train from KL to Butterworth.
To get to Tampin Railway Station (also known as Pulau Sebang) you can take a cheap bus from Melaka Sentral Bus Station or a go by taxi.
