If you want to travel from Tanjung Malim to Hat Yai by train, you will have to plan your journey to arrive at Padang Besar Railway Station in time to connect to one of the Shuttle Trains to Hatyai Junction Railway Station.

Alternatively, you can cross over the main road border crossing (next to the station), then continue to Hat Yai by minivan, bus or taxi.
