Take the Hua Hin Prachuap Khiri Khan Train for the easiest way to travel the short distance between these two seaside towns on the Gulf of Thailand.

The pleasant seaside town of Prachuap Khiri Khan is easily reached by train from Hua Hin, which is just 89 kilometres to the north.

Nearly every train heading south stops in Prachuap and with both train stations being located right in the centre of the towns and both within a five minutes walk to the sea, the train from Hua Hin to Prachuap KK, makes travel between the two seaside towns easy, without having to get a taxi to Hua Hin bus station.

Ticket Prices

Special Express DRC (Deisel Railcar) Trains are the fastest, but work out to be very expensive for short journeys due to all the extra fees you have to pay when working out ticket prices in Thailand. So for this short train trip you should give them a miss and take one of the slower trains. The ticket price for these trains is 353 Baht.


Special Express Train tickets cost 233 THB for a 2nd class fan seat, 209 THB for a 3rd class fan seat.

Express Trains cost 193 THB 2nd class and 169 3rd class.

Rapid Trains cost 73 THB 2nd class and 169 3rd class.

Ordinary Trains are the slowest and so the cheapest of all the services on this route. Train 255 has both 2nd and 3rd class seats and cost 43 / 19 THB. Train 251 is an all 3rd class seating train and cost 19 THB.

Children aged 3 - 11 get a discount of 21 Baht for 2nd class tickets and 9 Baht for 3rd class tickets.
