By far the easiest, quickest and cheapest way to get from Kajang to KL Sentral Railway Station is to either take the MRT driverless train (Mass Rapid Transit) or the more direct KTM Commuter (Komuter) train.

These modern trains operated by MyRapid run from Kajang to Sungai Buloh on the MRT Kajang Line - MRT Laluan Kajang (formally called the MRT SBK Line - MRT Sungai Buloh–Kajang Line).
To get to KL Sentral using the MRT train you have to take the train to the MRT Muzium Negara station, then it is around 5 minutes walk to KL Sentral (there is a pedestrian linkway between the two stations so you don't have to worry about walking outside in the sun).

For a more direct route with no walking between stations required, you can take a commuter (Komuter) train operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB /KTM).

These long-distance fast trains run on the route between Gemas and Padang Besar or Gemas and Butterworth Penang stopping at KL Sentral along their route.
There are currently very few ETS trains on this route and they will cost you a lot more (so it is best to travel by MRT or Komuter).

We would not recommend you take a bus on this route as the travel time would be so much longer due to all the traffic in the centre of the city.
