One way to get from KL Sentral to Salak Selatan by train is to take a KTM Komuter (commuter) operated by Malaysian Railways (KTMB) who run regular services on their Seremban Line (KTM Laluan Seremban).
The other way is to take an LRT train on the Kelana Jaya Line from KL Sentral to Masjid Jamek, then transfer onto the Sri Petaling Line and take the LRT from Masjid Jamek to Salak Selatan.
Please note: The Salak Selatan KTM station and the Salak Selatan LRT station are not in the same place. There are approximately 400 metres between these two different train stations in Salak Selatan.

KTM Komuter train tickets are sold from the KTM Komuter ticket counter located on the main concourse of Kuala Lumpur Sentral station.
You will be given a travel token which is used to pass through the departure gates (located next to the ticket counter).
You need to take a train heading in the direction of Pulau Sebang / Tampin.
At Salak Selatan KTM station, you will need your token again to put into the exit gates.
