KLCC to Batu Caves by Train - LRT - KTM Komuter - Timetable, Fare

To travel from the LRT station at KLCC to Batu Caves, you will have to connect to the KTM Komuter (commuter) Line as these are the only trains that go all the way to the caves complex.

To join the KTM Komuter Line you will have to take the LRT train from KLCC to either Pasar Seni or KL Sentral.

From either station, you can then take the Seremban Komuter Line directly to Batu Caves station (right next to the entrance to the cave complex).

Best Train Route to take from KLCC LRT Station to Batu Caves

We would recommend you take the following route as you can also visit the old Moorish Kuala Lumpur railway station along the journey and avoid the often busy and confusing KL Sentral station.

1) Take the LRT train from KLCC to Pasar Seni station (you need to take a train heading in the direction of Putra Heights on the Kelana Jaya LRT Line).

Pasar Seni is linked to the old Kuala Lumpur station by a pedestrian bridge (just over 100 metres long).

From Kuala Lumpur station you can then take the KTM Komuter train to Batu Caves >

If you go by this route, the duration of the journey is:

KLCC to Pasar Seni LRT train = approximately 8 minutes.

Kuala Lumpur to Batu Caves KTM train = approximately 30 minutes.


2) The other option is to stay on the LRT train for one more stop and travel from KLCC to KL Sentral station.

From KL Sentral you can then change onto the KTM Komuter train to Batu Caves >

If you go by this route, the duration of the journey is:

KLCC to KL Sentral LRT train = approximately 11 minutes.

KL Sentral to Batu Caves KTM train = approximately 35 minutes.

LRT trains operate from 6 am in the morning until around midnight and depart every 3 to 8 minutes during the daylight hours.

For this journey, you will need to purchase two separate tickets (tokens).

For the LRT train, the fare from KLCC to KL Sentral is 2.40 MYR - to Pasar Seni it is 2.10 MYR.

Tickets / tokens for LRT trains are available from vending machines at KLCC station.

For the KTM Komuter train, the fare from KL Sentral to Batu Caves is 2.60 MYR - from Kuala Lumpur station it is 2.50 MYR.

Tickets / tokens for KTM trains are available from the KTM Komuter ticket counter.
