The KTM Dabong railway station (stesen keretapi Dabong) is a major stop in the state of Kelantan on the Malaysia East Coast Line (also known as the Jungle Line) and gateway to the Gunung Stong State Park located just a couple of miles out of town.
There are two types of train service to Dabong, both operated by Malaysia Railways - Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB):

Dabong train services:
1) A really cheap way to travel to Dabong is to take one of the local Shuttle train services. These trains are not very fast and stop at every station along the route but are a good way to experience the surrounding countryside if travelling short distances.
2) For longer train trips to Dabong, the faster Intercity train is the best way to travel. This long-distance sleeper train runs between Tumpat in the northeast of Peninsular Malaysia, all the way down to the southern city of Johor Bahru (JB Sentral), located just a short journey over the Causeway to Singapore.
This Intercity (Antarabandar) train is named the Ekspres Rakyat Timuran (Eastern People's Express).
This service only stops at the larger railway stations along the route in the following order (from north to south):
Please note: From JB Sentral train station you can take a Shuttle train service over to Woodlands train station in Singapore. This train takes only 5 minutes to get to Woodlands and is the most convenient way to travel if arriving in JB by train.

If you want to travel between Kuala Lumpur and Dabong by train you can connect to the Jungle Line at Gemas railway station.
KL to Gemas is connected by the new, fast ETS train services.
Gemas to Dabong is connected by the Intercity train services on the Jungle Line.

If travelling on any of the Shuttle trains services, tickets are only sold on the day of travel from the station ticket counter you are departing from.
