The KTM Sungkai Railway Station (Stesen Keretapi Sungkai) is located in the state of Perak, Malaysia along the KTM Berhad North - South (West Coast) Line.

Sungkai Railway Station is served by ETS trains that operate on the KL Sentral - Ipoh - KL Sentral route.

The majority of trains on the KL - Ipoh route are ETS Gold services.

However, there are still a few of the cheaper ETS Silver services operating on this route (these trains are slightly slower as they stop at every station).

From Ipoh, you can connect to ETS trains heading north to either Butterworth (Penang Sentral) or Padang Besar on the Malaysia - Thailand border. From Padang Besar, you can then connect to State Railways of Thailand services to Hat Yai Junction or take the night train to Bangkok.

From KL Sentral you can connect to KTM Komuter trains that can take you as far as Tampin / Pulau Sebang.

From Tampin you then connect to Shuttle trains to JB Sentral in Johor Bahru, then take a short 5-minute Shuttle train to Woodlands in Singapore.

Booking KTM Sungkai Train Tickets

To travel by ETS train in Malaysia you need to have a reserved seat (no standing passengers are allowed) so there are a limited number of tickets available for each service.
