Taking the LRT Ampang to TBS train (via Bandar Tasik Selatan station) is the quickest and best way to travel to KL's main bus terminal with regular RapidKL Light Rapid Transit trains departing from the early morning until late in the evening.
Once you arrive at Bandar Tasik Selatan (BTS) integrated LRT / ERL / KTM railway station, it is just a short walk via the elevated footbridge to get to TBS bus terminal (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan).

There are no direct trains from Ampang to TBS / BTS, so you will have to take the following route:
From Ampang station, take the LRT Ampang Line in the direction of Sentul Timur to Chan Sow Line interchange station (trip duration of approximately 16 minutes).

At Chan Sow Lin station, change onto the Sri Petaling LRT Line and take a train heading in the direction of Putra Heights from Chan Sow Lin to Bandar Tasik Selatan (trip duration of approximately 12 minutes).

You only need to pay for one ticket as you will be within the RapidKL paid area for the whole journey.

Cashless fare: 3.10 RM / MYR
Concession fare: 1.80 RM / MYR
The cash price is the fare you pay if you do not already have one of RapidKL's prepaid Touch n Go cards (cashless).
To pay for your tickets you have to use one of the vending machines at Ampang station.
The vending machine will give you a travel token good for one journey on your specified route.

The frequency of departures for LRT trains is between every 3 to 8 minutes during the day and early evening, slowing to every 14 minutes in the late evening.
