To get from Nilai to Mid Valley, by far the easiest and quickest way to travel using public transport is to take a KTM Komuter (commuter) train services operated by Malaysia Railways (Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad).
The commuter trains run from the early morning until late in the evening on the Tampin / Pulau Sebang to Batu Caves Route (Laluan), with Mid Valley station located just one stop before KL Sentral.
The duration on the journey by KTM Komuter train is just under an hour for most services.

Tickets for KTM Komuter trains are only sold on the day of travel from the Nilai station.
When you pay for tickets on KTM Komuter trains you are given a token which acts as your ticket.
Your token enables you to pass through the departure gates at Nilai station, then when you arrive at Mid Valley you have to use the token again to exit (the gates/ barriers will take your token back).
