The Southern Bus Terminal Bangkok is located north-west of the city centre on the left bank of the Chaopraya River along Boromratchonnani Road (ถนนบรมราชชนนี).
It is also known as “Sai Tai Mai Taling Chan Bus Station”.
- “Sai Tai Mai” means the “New South Line”. It is because in the past the original bus station for the South was located at another place (just a few kilometres away along the same road).
- “Taling Chan” is the name of the administrative area where it is located in Bangkok.
Quite surprisingly, the building that hosts the bus station, also serves as a shopping centre named SC Plaza.

Inside the building, as well as the bus ticket selling counters, you will be able to find many different kinds of shops, restaurants, coffee shops or bank agencies!
