Train 171 offers travellers a cheap way to get to Hat Yai from Bangkok, with a range of the cheapest seats and sleeping berths / beds.
This is one of the few trains that offers the fan cooled sleeping carriages which many people prefer, as the air-conditioned sleeper carriages can get really cold sometimes.
